SupaSoft Recycled Plastic bottle insulation - Please call for a quote

A soft-touch loft insulation that's safe and easy to install

The makers of Thermafleece have turned duvet and pillow technology into safe, sustainable and cost effective insulation for your loft.

Most of us are familiar with the warmth and comfort provided by polyester fibres, widely used to fill jackets, duvets and pillows.  Now Eden Renewable Innovations has taken this technology and using recycled polyester fibres made from recycled plastic bottles they have created long lasting and safe insulation for lofts.

Supasoft recycled plastic insulation contains no harmful chemicals or binders and is completely safe to handle.  Converting plastic bottles into insulation helps divert many tonnes of waste plastic from landfill or incineration helping protect our environment.

SupaSoft is long-lasting and easy to install. What’s more, energy savings mean the insulation pays for itself in just a few years.  SupaSoft can be used to insulate between and over joists or simply laid on top of existing insulation to improve overall insulation performance.

SupaSoft Insulation is a sustainable, soft touch insulation which comes in convenient, easy to handle multi-roll packs. Each pack contains two or three rolls of insulation depending on the width you require. Supasoft is available in widths of 390mm or 590mm and in thicknesses of 50mm and 100mm.

SupaSoft insulation provides excellent thermal insulation performance, is long-lasting, safe to handle and can easily recycled at the end of its life.

Installation

SupaSoft is harmless and can be installed without gloves or protective clothing, although we recommend you wear a dust mask in enclosed spaces such as lofts. SupaSoft is not irritating to the skin, eyes or respiratory tract.

To retain the benefits of vapour permeability, SupaSoft may be used in conjunction with a vapour permeable underlay. Protect the insulation from prolonged exposure to sunlight when unpacked and avoid wetting for extended periods, store under cover and clear of the ground.

Cutting Tips

SupaSoft can be cut using a straight edge and a Stanley knife, or simply torn apart.

For more accurate cutting, tightly compress or clamp the insulation between two pieces of solid 15mm board. Overhang the fleece where you want to cut keeping the two board edges aligned. Saw cut the edge using a sharp, scalloped edged knife and keep the blade firm and square against both board edges throughout. Trim any fine remaining fibres with large scissors or shears.
