Heavyweight 10oz Hessian

Hessian is widely used as a material to protect new limework from drying out too quickly. It is vitally important that any new lime plasters and renders are protected from the cold, rain and direct sunlight in order to allow the carbonation process to take place.  Protecting with damp hessian prevents moisture from evaporating too quickly.

Standard hessian rolls are generally a 6 or 7oz weight.  This hessian roll is a heavier weight at 10oz and thus provides maximum protection from the elements.  It is supplied as a 50m x 1.83m roll or a smaller 5m x 1.83m.
